The Meera House.

There is a good chance that you don't know about the Meera house...unless you're a nerd and you're into architectual design like me. The Meera house was designed by Guz Architects and it is super green and super delightful. Seriously delightful. I probably wouldn't even be able to afford this house if I was famous, but if I played professional baseball or something and made a ridiculous amount of green, I would buy it. This house is sick! Maybe if I designed a similar house, but better, and built it myself, it would be more possible. I don't know. It would be very materialistic of me to envy a home, but just think...a house on the island of Sentosa where the sea breeze funnels through the center of the building, central skylight, an upstairs lawn... Have you ever fantasized of being at a party with human mermaids swimming behind a glass wall? Well, this house has that. According to my wifey, it's like living in Hobbitville. It has so much awesomeness that you would probably have to let some of it out occasionally...like a dog. If you had a dog, you could just take them out at the same time. Since words obviously can't describe how brilliant this thing is, I'll use pictures.

A Day For George.

The other day, Friday I believe, Katie wanted to go see Gnomeo & Juliet. As for me, I don't watch lame movies. Another version of the same story told thousands of times. No thank you. Because I'm a little bit of awesome, I went anyway. No complaints. I actually really liked it and so did Katie. Maybe I'm just a bad movie critique but I thought it was cute and I laughed...a lot. I like the pink flamingo, as gay as that may sound. On Saturday, we just stayed home, put a pizza in the oven, and watched Dexter all day. And that's okay. I like pizza. I like Dexter. And staying home isn't so bad either. Yesterday was President's day, the only day it hasn't snowed this week. We took advantage of the weather and drove down to Burley, Idaho. We hung out with our friend, BreeAnn, and her husband, who is also our friend, Matt. And the rest of the Whitehead family. We went bowling. It looks so much easier on television. I've been bowling before but this time, I was really bad. After bowling, we ate frozen yogurt then drove back to the Whitehead's to have lunch. We ate lunch and then the girls talked or whatever girls do. And the rest of us played Black Ops until dinner time. We had cheesy bacon potato soup for dinner, which was brilliant by the way. And then we played Apples to Apples before our long drive back to Boise. Abraham Lincoln showed up in Apples to Apples, which reminded me why we had the day off in the first place. I know it's actually celebrated in honor of George Washington, but they were both good men.

The Jimmer.

Cute little Chim Chim always checks to make sure we're really studying and not just holding out on his play time. What a smart little guy.

Gourmet Hot Cocoa, Chocolate Mint Truffle.

Valentine's Day was fun! Katie woke up for class before me so I had a card with 100 reasons I love her waiting for her while she was getting ready for school. Reading the reasons Katie loves me made my day and put a smile on my face before Chemistry. We walked to the zoo after class. We watched some lions wrestle. One of them looked exactly like Scar from Lion King. I sang hakuna matata to the warthogs and then we ate sandwiches. After the zoo, we walked through the park to get home. On the way home, we stopped to spend some time with our friend, Abraham Lincoln. When we finally got to our apartment complex, we raced to our cozy one bedroom apartment to get out of the cold. We had some very tasty hot chocolate while we watched Modern Family. After a couple of episodes, we left again to go to Target because Katie wanted a book. Katie bought the book, Three Cups Of Tea, and a bunch of stuff. I got The Game of Life, because I remember it being fun as a kid. Katie wouldn't let me buy Settlers of Catan. We don't have that kind of money I guess. We drove home and then I had to work. One very cold, but very happy day!

K.O.

Knockout: To render useless or inoperative. The awful taste of defeat. Why do guy's do giant burger challenges anyway? To prove they are men? I don't have to prove I'm a man. People should be able to figure it out. Or maybe I'm just bitter because of how I went out today. I lost. I was so close to beating the Man vs. Food challenge. I blame it on the heat..and the fries. The burger was so hot right off the grill that it burnt the inside of my mouth with every bite. It hurt a little but I was afraid to stop once I had started so I just took short breaks. During the short breaks, my stomach realized how much food was going into it and stopped just short of victory. And the fries. They were huge. To win the challenge though, the burger and all of the fries had to be eaten. I'm going to train. And then I'm going to go back and it's going to be ugly. Some Rocky Balboa fighting is about to go down. This time I'll be ready and I'll let the burger cool down first. Just to be sure I get the win, I'm going to prep myself with a month of polynesian dinners. You will see. After a long nap and a visit to the Boise Temple, I've cleared my head and am planning my next attack. Right now, I'm sitting back and relaxing, drinking the vanilla coke that Katie bought me for my birthday, confident.

Ducks and Waterfalls.

Today is my birthday. The lucky number 24. Time just keeps on keepin' on. There is no way to stop it. When I turned 23, I decided I wanted to fly high like Michael Jordan. I feel like I'm flying pretty high right now, but 24? Kobe Bryant? Is he going to be better than Michael Jordan? No. Can't be. You can't get much higher than the legendary MJ, right? Does that mean I'm going down hill from 23? I don't know. Anyways, Katie has class all day today, but tomorrow it's about to go down! After watching Man vs. Food Boise, I decided that for my birthday, I just want to dine at Big Jud's. Home of the one pound burger patty. Only four people have beaten the Triple Big Jud challenge. One of them was my friend, Brian Mills. The other that I know of, Adam Richman from Man vs. Food. The final product sits at over four pounds, not including the fries. My Goal: To be the fifth picture on the wall. Since Katie has class, I'm just sitting here..dreaming about giant burgers. I don't know what it is about food that is just so..so amazing. I made tuna salad today to make some sandwiches for lunch and then I realized there was still leftover Red Lobster from my birthday dinner. The brilliantly made pasta is going into my mouth simultaneously as I type. Jimi just sits and stares in hope that I might give up a bite or make a small mistake that might send a shrimp or two to the ground. The guy doesn't like dog food. He eats it though, eventually. It's still sitting in his bowl right now, even after the long walk I took him on this morning after I got out of class. We went to the park. Jimi's favorite. Jimi is obsessed with ducks. When he saw the ducks, we were walking alongside the embankment that goes down to the river. Jimi got so excited that he launched off and brought me down with him. I have never been so close to falling into a river without actually hitting the water. Jimi tried to go into the river with the ducks, but as soon as I regained my balance, I stopped him with the leash. The leash saved me. Katie would have been so mad if I let Jimi float down the river. Jimi is also obsessed with water. We found this secret mini waterfall and Jimi was so amazed by it. I think that Jimi thinks waterfalls are just giant water bowls, the ones with the gallon jug that just keep pouring water in. Maybe they are, but I told Jimi, I said, "Listen to me, don't go chasing waterfalls. Please stick to the rivers and the lakes that you're used to. I know you're going to have it your way or nothing at all, but I think you're moving too fast."

P.S. Katie got her hurr did yesterday at this place called The Electric Chair in Downtown Boise. Hot.

Sneak a Few.

I'm in Boise now. The other day was the Super Bowl, a big night for Eminem apparently, with like six Super Bowl advertisements. And Tron performed at half time. Sadly, none of the commercials were funny, except for maybe a Dorito's commercial. On a happier note, Katie and I are doing well. Boise State University is sending us knowledge on a daily basis. If only it was free, right? Putting that aside, we love it here! We love our apartment, our school, my job, the park. Jimi especially loves the park. He likes to chase the Canadian geese and the squirrels, but not the ducks. He just likes to hang out with the ducks. I guess to Jimi, the ducks of Boise are cool and the ducks and Jimi like to chill. And I'm okay with that. As long as I don't have to run with him to chase after anything else in this cold weather. Katie and I discovered a new addiction. It's this placed called Fanci Freeze in downtown Boise. Their shakes and fries are brilliant. If you ever see one, stop in. And when you stop in, order a white chocolate rasberry shake. You will thank me later..or you can thank me now, if you're going now. The whole shake thing is okay since we are going to the gym now. We have a free membership at Boise State and their gym is huge. A pool, jacuzzi, full size basketball courts, racquetball courts, a rock climbing wall, and everything a normal gym has. I thought since I'm going back to the gym and all that I would join the Boise State rugby team. It seemed more realistic than playing Boise State football. Well, that didn't really work out. I mean, don't get me wrong, the coach wants me to play but I have to work on game days. Who wouldn't want New Zealand talent, but who goes to every practice knowing they're not going to play a single game? Not me. I'm thinking maybe next semester if I can get it to flow with my schedule. The rugby shirts are sick and I think one of them would look very sexy on me. Wifey agrees. Sitting on the computer. Still looking beautiful. Stressing about her classes. Switching her major back and forth.

I still sneak in a kiss and an episode of Dexter quite often.

And that is why I love her.
