Day 05 - Memory Lane.

Day 05 - A picture of your favorite memory.

  • Turns out. I have a lot of memories. Maybe because I'm old. Maybe because I'm awesome. I don't know, but I'm gonna do this a little differently.

First, I'm going to write about our favorite memory together. Then, I'm going to write about Katie's favorite memory and my favorite memory, separately..before we were married. Our favorite memory together is obviously our honeymoon. I mean, we did go to the Bahamas. I could say our wedding. It was filled with family. Friends. People we love. A dance off with Rawa. That I won. But there were too many people all at once and we didn't really get to see each other so Bahamas it is. Sorry if I overwhelm you with photographs.

As you can probably see by my face and the man staring at me, this was an awkward moment for me. Katie, on the other hand, is a natural!

Now let's rewind to before we were married. Katie's favorite memory is when she went to Australia with her family. She stayed in Sydney for four days. They also visited Melbourne and the Gold Coast. I'm pretty jealous, especially of the Koala they let her hold at the Crocodile Hunter Zoo. I guess Katie's dad made the best monkey sound so holding the Koala was the prize. I won't lie, he makes the most realistic monkey sound I've ever heard!

While Katie was in the land down under, I was serving my mission in the land down under down under. Which brings me to my favorite memory. New Zealand. I'm not hating on Australia, but New Zealand is way cooler. When we finally get the money to go visit New Zealand, Katie will forget all about Australia. I lived in New Zealand for two years. The country and the people are beautiful. An island with a melting pot of cultures and the friendliest people on earth. I miss it. I'll be back for you, New Zealand.

And I'm bringing my wifey with me!
